Thank you, my friend. That’s the 90 Cron APO. A lens I believe you have. By the way, visited your website a while back. Stunned by the photography and to be finally able to put a face to the name. You are a great photographer. I’m stunned as well how inept I’ve been in following links and finding things. Very sorry it took so long, Godfrey. It makes your praise for anything I do all the more special. Thank you!
Thank you for the compliment, Donald! I’m glad you enjoyed my photos. 🙂
Leica has always done an exceptional job with this focal length, whether for M or R camera. I have two 90mm lenses … a very likably tiny M-Rokkor 90mm f/4 (sibling to the Elmar-C 90/4 and built on the same production line…) and a Summicron-R 90mm f/2. Both produce outstanding photos. The 90/4 is what I use on the Ms, the 90/2 I use on the SL or R bodies. Someday I might get motivated to purchase an APO Summicron-M 90mm but I really am quite happy with these two older lenses still at this point.
Oh I was very happy with my 90 Elmarit. But I did struggle with it and sold it before getting the A7 ii which makes dealing with this focal length so much easier. I even asked the person is sold it to sell it back to me before plunking down the funds for this APO. I still almost like the shots from that lens better than this one. BUT… I think the 2.0 is and does come in handy for a very special kind of low light photography. Anyway, thank you again and for the conversation.
There’s a bit of “The Three Graces” in that … 🙂
Nicely done!
