All of these images predate even my first DSLR, the Nikon D70. These were, believe it or not, taken with one of the first great digital cameras, the Nikon Coolpix 950. Probably from around 2000 to 2004. Yes, I’ve been doing this a long time. More to come.

A LOT OF CANDID SHOTS…SOME WITH REALLY NICE LINES…AND THE CHAOS OF THE CITY…IN WHICH HUMANS MAKE THEIR WAY TO ADAPT?
Thank you, Jonathan!
GOOD AND VARIED SHOTS! AS ALWAYS!
I love your photography. You have the eye.
With no dis intended, I suppose you have been “a long time” with a camera – well with a dslr, although I don’t think of 16 years as being particularly long.
This week I’ve been sharing with my family photos I took with b/w film and an Agfa click and shoot in 1965, when every shot was priceless bc there was an end to the supply of photos you could take on a film roll of 12 shots.
I was ten years old.
I guess I’m admitting that I’m a hell of a lot older than you are, and although I’ve returned to photography more seriously fairly recently (2006) it’s been in my life for over five decades.
You have a long way to go before you can admit to being “a long time” behind a lens!!! Keep at it! Or tell me you have misrepresented yourself in this post!!!
lol. NOT much older than me. lol. You were ten in 1965, I was eight. I’ll dig up some older stuff. I’ll be looking for your older shots. I have two more days with lots of images from this period with my first digicam. But yeah, I go back. I had I think a Kodak camera in the 1960s. Then a Yashika electro in the 70s. Loved that. then a Mamiya was my first SLR. then a Nikon. God I loved all of those cameras. Anyway, thank you for the compliments. Means a lot coming from a fellow old timer. 😉
Yes, I too started with a digital Nikon Coolpix 4300 in 2003. I do not yet fesai street photography. I always have this device but the quality is completely outdated today. Now I have the Leica Q for all my travels, a treat. My first camera was a Canon AE1 which is offered me in 1979 I was 15, I always with his 50mm f / 1.8, that of memories …
Cameras had so much of a hold on my imagination. I guess I’m not alone in that regard. 😉 Those Leica Qs look so sweet. I don’t even want to think about that thing. I’ve actually had thoughts of Nikon lately. So many really amazing cameras out there right now. Enjoy your Q and thank you for commenting!
